Washington D.C., Sept. 18, 2018 — Daly Consulting Group LLC, a government affairs and business consulting firm, today announced that James H. Clinger will join the firm as Senior Managing Director.
Clinger served for more than two decades in a variety of senior legal and policy roles at the House Financial Services Committee. He has served four Committee chairmen, and is widely regarded as a pragmatic consensus builder willing to work on a bipartisan basis. Among the positions Clinger held at the Committee were Chief Oversight Counsel, Senior Banking Counsel, and Staff Director. He was the Republican Chief Counsel from 2007 until his departure from the Hill in 2017. Clinger’s career in government included serving as a high-ranking political appointee at the Department of Justice.

Clinger graduated from the University of Virginia with BA and JD degrees. Before entering public service he practiced law for seven years, specializing in commercial litigation.
